    REFRIGERATION DRYERS

Refrigeration Dryers

The air sucked in by the compressor contains a proportion of water, which must be reduced to varying degrees depending on the requirements of the downstream production process.

Since the water absorption capacity of air decreases with falling temperature, the cooling in the compressor's air aftercooler can reduce the air humidity by draining off the water.

However, if there is a demand for compressed air that is as dry as possible, an air treatment unit must be installed downstream.

An effective method of reducing air humidity is refrigeration drying, which allows the compressed air to be cooled down to approx. 2-5°C, a temperature at which the water absorption capacity of air is extremely low.
